The Countdown Begins!!

It’s the start of another Countdown!! I’m so excited to reveal the cover for the third book of the Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor series, Don’t Unravel the Past. Candice Gilmer of Flirtation Designs designed the cover. I was a bit stumped about how to represent the past with a graphic and was discussing it at the dinner table. My son, Mark, had the idea to use a clock or an open book with pictures or words coming off the page. Brilliant! I love the result! Thanks Mark!

Cheerio Garden is Growing!

Two years ago, I sent away for seeds that Honey Nut Cheerios offered. They wanted gardeners to plant flowers that would attract bees to help the struggling population. This year I planted them and, lo and behold, I’ve got flowers! Aren’t they pretty? I’m not 100% sure which are flowers and which are weeds, but the pink ones are flowers. 😀 They’re just starting to bloom so I’ll keep you posted as it grows!

Cover Reveal!

I thought I’d give you a sneak peek at the cover for Don’t Unravel the Past, the third book of the Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor series. I was a bit stumped about how to represent the past with a graphic and was discussing it at the dinner table. Don’t Forget the Dog (Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor, Book 2)

Dr. Brogan Corkie is happily semi-retired from medicine and now has time for other hobbies. Her passion for food is second only to her skill at matchmaking!

Blaine McKinnon, owner and executive chef of an upscale restaurant in Mapleton, has an adorable Old English sheepdog named Tacos. Brogan is roped into dog-sitting Tacos at Blaine’s house. The upside is the spectacular kitchen at her disposal.

Dr. Sabrina Langfield, a newly minted doctor, is in a bind when her mom, Rue, falls and fractures her wrist. Brogan offers to help and does double-duty looking after Tacos and Rue.

Blaine and Sabrina were high school sweethearts but parted ways when Blaine pushed Sabrina to pursue a career. Sabrina hasn’t seen him since, but Rue is a huge fan and frequents his restaurant. Rue’s biggest regret is her part in Sabrina and Blaine’s break-up, and with Brogan’s help, she’s determined to get them back together. It might not be that easy – Sabrina is wary of Tacos and, more pressing, she’s decided to move a four-hour flight away to do five more years of training in emergency medicine.
