Looking for an idea for a romantic getaway? Who better to ask than an awesome group of romance authors! I’d like to welcome Devon McKay, author of Staking A Claim. And for some Perfectly Planned fun, you can find me over at her blog. It’s HERE.
Meet Devon McKay ~ Devon McKay writes contemporary romance with a western flair. If she’s not writing, she’s busy with chores on her small ranch, working on a stained glass project or walking one of her three dogs through the woods. Her greatest joy is putting a smile on a readers face and hearing from fans.

Her #RomanticTravel Idea ~ My romantic getaway would be Alaska. I lived there for 27 years and have yet to find a more beautiful place, which is one of the reasons I wrote Staking A Claim.
Here’s a bit about Staking A Claim:
For most people, seeing Alaska is a dream come true. For Miami Beach resident, Samantha Held, it is merely a job assignment. Creating an advertisement for vacationing in the state gets her one step closer to achieving her career goal—partnership in Kolinsky’s Advertisement Agency.
Blake Langford is not willing to accept any exploitation of his beloved state, no matter how desirable the striking, southern blonde bombshell with fiery green eyes is, and he’s determined to sabotage Sam’s goal in every way. Falling in love with the enemy, however, was never part of the plan.
Enjoy an excerpt from Staking A Claim:

On Saturday August 22nd, time stood still across Canada as Canadians gathered in bars, parks, and city centres to watch their beloved band, The Tragically Hip, perform what was potentially the last concert of their tour and career. Months earlier, Gord Downie, the lead singer, announced he has inoperable brain cancer.
Meet Patricia Preston ~ Patricia Preston writes witty mainstream romances. You are her reader if you like fun, passionate, HEA reads. Must haves in her writing cave include sweet tea and epic music. Besides writing, she loves music, history, taking road trips, and anything containing chocolate. Her dream-come-true would be a townhouse in the French Quarter. She never misses Supernatural or the Walking Dead. She is repped by the Seymour Agency and currently working on a contemporary romance series, Love Heals All, for Lyrical Shine imprint of Kensington Books.
I love autumn and the Natchez Trace in Tennessee has provided me with plenty of inspiration for the fictional setting, Lafayette Falls, that I’m using in my contemporary romances for Lyrical Shine. The drive is leisurely and stunning along the Trace in the fall. This is a national parkway so there are no stores, gas stations, power lines or commercial traffic on the Trace. It is steeped with history along with pastoral beauty. Great for photographers.
Here’s what One Week in Your Arms is all about:
Meet J.M. Maurer ~ J.M. Maurer started working as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where she cared for critically ill children, transported them from outlying hospitals, and even picked up overtime hours treating patients of all ages while inside a hyperbaric chamber. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, she loves to write about strong characters and their struggles in life.

I’m over chatting with Author Liza O’Connor (no relation, but I wish I was) about Perfectly Unpredictable and guardian angels!! And she reviewed Perfectly Unpredictable and gave it 5 stars!!! Astoundingly fabulous, I think she called it 😀 😀 😀 Check it out
“So, what do you write?” That’s pretty much the first question I’m asked when I mention I’m an author. You’d think it’d be easy to answer, but pegging a genre isn’t always straightforward. Read more
I’m blogging on the SMP Authors website about using an author tagline – less than ten words that can make a difference in standing out as an author!
