Posted July 28, 2016 By Linda

I’m delighted to celebrate, with author C.D. Hersh, the release of The Mercenary and the Shifters, Book 4 of The Turning Stone Chronicles! Woohoo!

Before we hear about their new release, meet C.D. Hersh ~

hersh_smallPutting words and stories on paper is second nature to co-authors C.D. Hersh. They’ve written separately since they were teenagers and discovered their unique, collaborative abilities in the mid-90s. As high school sweethearts and husband and wife, Catherine and Donald believe in true love and happily ever after.

Together they have co-authored a number of dramas, six which have been produced in Ohio, where they live. Their interactive Christmas production had five seasonal runs in their hometown and has been sold in Virginia, California, and Ohio. Their most recent collaborative writing efforts have been focused on romance. The first four books of their paranormal romance series entitled The Turning Stone Chronicles are available on Amazon. They also have a Christmas novella, Kissing Santa, in a Christmas anthology titled Sizzle in the Snow, with seven other authors.

And here is a bit about their latest book – The Mercenary and the Shifters, The Turning Stone Chronicles, Book 4.

MERCENARY AND THE SHIFTERS_505x825 (2)When mercenary soldier Michael Corritore answers a desperate call from an ex-military buddy, he finds himself in the middle of a double kidnapping, caught in an ancient war between two shape shifter factions, and ensnared between two female shape shifters after the same thing … him.

Shape shifter Fiona Kayler will do anything to keep the shipping company her father left her, including getting in bed with the enemy. But when she believes the man trying to steal her company is involved with kidnapping her nephew, she must choose between family, fortune, and love. The problem is … she wants all three.

It’s available now ~ Amazon eBook

#RomanticIdea with Carmen Stefanescue

This summer I’ll be sharing romantic ideas with an awesome group of romance authors. I’d like to welcome Carmen Stefanescue, author of  Till Life Do Us Part.

Carmen (2)Meet Carmen Stefanescu ~ Carmen resides in Romania, the native country of the infamous vampire Count Dracula, but where, for about 50 years of communist dictatorship, just speaking about God, faith, reincarnation or paranormal phenomena could have led someone to great trouble – the psychiatric hospital if not to prison.

Teacher of English and German in her native country, and mother of two daughters, Carmen Stefanescu survived the grim years of oppression, by escaping in a parallel world that of the books.

Several of her poems were successfully published in a collection of Contemporary English Poems, Muse Whispers vol.1 and Muse Whispers vol.2 by Midnight Edition Publication, in 2001 and 2002.

Her first novel, Shadows of the Past, was released in 2012 by Wild Child Publishing, USA. Carmen joined the volunteer staff at Marketing For Romance Writers Author blog and is the coordinator of #Thursday13 posts.

Her #RomanticIdeas ~

Learn a romantic foreign language. Take an intro-class together for a language that neither of you speak – French, Italian, Spanish or Romanian simply sound romantic – and practice whispering sweet nothings into each other’s ears, in that new language!

Cuddle up together in a horse-drawn carriage ride. You’ll probably feel like you are in a romantic comedy, and that’s a good thing.

Read each other’s Tarot Cards. Take turns reading each other’s fortunes using Tarot Cards. Even if you don’t believe in divination, it will make for one fun evening spent together.

Go on a ghost tour together. Find the nearest ghost tour in your city and head out on the adventure together. At least you’ll have someone’s hand to hold onto should things start to get a little spooky.

Feed each other fondue at home. It really doesn’t get sexier than feeding each other chocolate dipped strawberries.

I love those ideas, Carmen – reasons to cuddle together! Here’s a bit about Carmen’s Paranormal Romance, Till Life Do Us Part ~

Till-Life-Do-us-part-001-compressorBarbara Heyer can hear voices of dead people. They whisper of their deaths, seek comfort for those left behind, and occasionally even warn her about future events. But when Barbara’s brother, Colin, is accused of murder, it will take more than her gift to prove his innocence.

Becoming smitten with the handsome investigator, Detective Patrick Fischer, is a serious complication given his assignment to her brother’s case. Barbara senses there is something far deeper—and perhaps much older—than the surface attraction between them. Could that be why she’s visited by a mysterious woman named Emma in her dreams? Could past life regression tie all the seemingly unconnected events together?

Barbara and Patrick must overcome heartache to find the truth to save Colin, and perhaps themselves.

This summer I’ll be sharing romantic ideas with an awesome group of romance authors. I’d like to welcome Iris Blobel, author of  Little Beginnings.

Iris-Blobel-2013-300x273Meet Iris Blobel ~ Iris Blobel was born and raised in Germany and only immigrated to Australia in the late 1990s. Having had the travel bug most of her life, Iris spent quite some time living in Scotland, London as well as Canada where she her husband. Her love for putting her stories onto paper has only emerged recently, but now her laptop is a constant companion.

Iris resides west of Melbourne with her husband and her two beautiful daughters.  Next to her job at a private school, she also presents a German Program at the local Community Radio.

Iris has a wonderful #RomanticIdea for the summer ~

I love the beach and for me there’s nothing nicer than walk along the beach with my feet in the water, listening to the sound of the waves crushing along the shore, and my loved one by my side – hoping to spot a dolphin.

Here’s a bit about Iris’ book Little Beginnings ~

3D-Little BeginningsA blind date that doesn’t happen might lead to love.

After her divorce, Jeri Belmont moved to Hobart and now runs a successful art gallery. When her niece sets her up with a neighbour, Jeri expects a blind date like the many she’s had. But she never expected her date wouldn’t even show up because of her age. Despite feeling unjustly judged, when she unexpectedly runs into him again, she finds it hard to ignore Ely’s charm.

Ely Lennox knows he shouldn’t have skipped the blind date because of the lady’s age. After all, it had only been a date, not a lifetime commitment. When his carpentry business takes him right to the woman he bailed out on, his guilt turns into regret when he finds out she’s everything a man could hope for. How can he convince Jeri that he knows acting so immaturely was a big mistake? Will she ever forgive him? Or is she hiding behind something else?

#RomanticIdea with Rachelle Paige

This summer I’ll be sharing romantic ideas with an awesome group of romance authors. I’d like to welcome Rachelle Paige, author of  Across the Lake.

Rachelle Page author photoMeet Rachelle Paige ~ Rachelle stumbled into the world of romance novels in college; as a way to help speed up reading through Art History textbooks. After years in the professional world writing dry grant proposals and auction descriptions, she started writing the contemporary romance stories she wanted to read. Setting her books in some of her favorite destinations was her inspired way to require plenty of research trips every year with her family.

Here is Rachelle’s summer #RomanticIdea ~ Nothing beats a patio filled with candlelight, soft music, and sharing a dessert with your sweetheart on a warm night under the stars. Turning the backyard into a favorite date spot means more couple time after our kids head to bed.

Something that you could do every night 😀 Here’s a bit about Across the Lake ~

Rachelle Page book coverNearly a year and a half after his pregnant girlfriend left him for her childhood sweetheart, Ryan Isaacs is finally moving on. He’s bought and renovated a three-flat in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Living in a tiny town across Lake Superior from his ex wouldn’t be his first choice. Staying near his young son, however, made the decision for him. Life is good. But he definitely doesn’t have time for distractions; especially not the beautiful new tenant who’s renting the top floor. Not that she’d be interested in him anyway.

Lauren Clark has to focus. After a decade in Chicago, moving to the middle of nowhere was not the next stop she pictured for her career. Years of soothing bridezillas has worn her out. And being left at the altar has her questioning her purpose. She’s agreed to fill in for her friend Francois at his post as city events manager while he’s on sabbatical for a year. If she has her way, she’ll be gone long before then. There would be no point to starting something with the hunky landlord.
